Relieved that Union HRD minister Javadekar did not share stage with cheap imitator Madhusudan Naidu; However, Muddenahalli group gets a big and worrying boost with inauguration of their university named after Sathya Sai

Last updated on 4th June 2018

Shri Prakash Javadekar did NOT attend the inauguration of Muddenahalli group university even though the invitation card Muddenahalli group had printed had his name as chief guest on it.  But Shri Javadekar sent a short video message which was played in the inauguration function. The video message made no reference to Madhusudan Naidu or any subtle body. Shri Javadekar praised Sathya Sai in the video message.

I saw the whole video of their inauguration function, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yup-35OziAU, 2 hr. 12 mins and made some notes of it which are given below.

From around 22:55 in it:

Narasimhamurthy is announced as the chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence.

A.R. Manjunath is announced as the pro-chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence.

[I have to say that having a chancellor and pro-chancellor focused on imparting spiritual values to the university is a good move. Otherwise the university will face the danger of being a spiritual university only in name and some show/drama, but be focused on pure academics which will then make it just another deemed/private university in India but with free education. So while I strongly condemn Shri B.N. Narasimhamurthy for betraying the teachings and instructions of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba when it comes to (false claim) mediums and communicators, I have to acknowledge that having him and another person as chancellor and pro-chancellor seems good from a spritual thrust oriented power structure at the university top level itself. I believe the university of Mata Amrutandamayi, Amruta university, also has a similar power structure at the top giving it a strong spiritual thrust orientation.]

Dr. P.D.N. Srinivasu is announced as the vice-chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence. [Googled for his name; Seems to be a Maths Prof. of Andhra University. Here's what Google Scholar reports about a PDN Srinivasu who seems to be the same person: https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=kByhIcEAAAAJ&hl=en.]

Madhusudan Naidu is announced as chosen communicator, member (of) board of governors of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, and Trustee of Prasanthi Bala Mandira Trust.
----

A later speaker who seems to have been a former education minister of Karnataka spoke about the bill for the university being passed unanimously in the Karnataka assembly. He spoke highly of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Bhagavan's contribution to moral (values based) education. He was very happy that a Sathya Sai university got set up in Karnataka.

The former minister of Karnataka spoke in Kannada but as far as I could make out he made no reference to Madhusudan Rao Naidu or so called subtle body or any chosen communicator. That's good. (I follow very, very little of Kannada; Kannada goth illa - 'I don't know Kannada' is one of the few sentences I know :-). But I had a thick school friend in my Bombay days, who is Kannada, from Hubli-Dharwad, and whose family I would visit very often. So some Kannada is embedded deep in my memories.)

A video was shown about the university and its goals. I think the voice-over was by Siddhanth Chandrashekar (if I recall his full name correctly). I have taught him some software lab. courses and remember his voice. Siddhanth was also an M.C. in one of the Muddenahalli group events in the past. Did not spot his face in this video though.

....

Around 1:49:00 Madhusudan Naidu starts his talk saying, "Aum Sri Sai Ram! As we pray to Bhagavan to grant his divine message, I perceive him seated here in ochre robe and I repeat as he speaks."

After Narasimhamurthy translates it to Kannada, Madhusudan starts speaking in Telugu which I guess is his signal that he is now repeating the words of some fantasy figure he seems to have deluded himself to believe to be Sathya Sai, and has succeeded in deluding large number of people across the world including some state govt. ministers and union govt. ministers.

--- end my Notes of the event ---

I am really relieved that union minister Shri Prakash Javadekar, whose name was printed as the chief guest for the inauguration function, did not attend the inauguration in person and only sent a video message.

After I saw the invitation card with his name printed on it as the chief guest, I had expected that he would attend. If he had attended the inauguration event I had planned to discuss on social media, the creation of a change.org petition seeking clarification from him whether he endorsed the outlandish claim of Madhusudan Naidu of being a so called communicator of a so called subtle body of Sathya Sai. The change.org petition could have referred him to the words Madhusudan Naidu said today, "As we pray to Bhagavan to grant his divine message, I perceive him seated here in ochre robe and I repeat as he speaks.", and asked him, as the head of the higher education sector of the whole country, whether he endorsed and believed that statement of Madhusudan Naidu. I planned to request somebody who has large following on social media (in thousands) to come forward to put up the change.org petition, which I would then support. My view was that a minimum of 1000 signatures would be enough to lend weight to the petition which could then be sent to the Hon'ble HRD minister Javadekar's office. If nobody was willing to put up this petition, I was willing to put it up myself.

Very fortunately, Shri Javadekar did not share the stage with Madhusudan Naidu and his video message did not have any reference to either Madhusudan Naidu or to any subtle body/light body stuff. Therefore I am relieved that I don't have to discuss or consider the change.org petition that I mentioned above.

But the Muddenahalli group university has got inaugurated and with the name of Sathya Sai in it. Note that this is a private university whose relevant bill was passed in the Karnataka state assembly (unanimously). So I don't think union HRD ministry would have had much say in the matter. They would have had to back the Karnataka state bill/act. I don't think Shri Prakash Javadekar can be blamed in any way for this university being set up. The relevant authority in this case seems to be the Karnataka assembly where the bill was ****unanimously**** passed!

Now let me take a broad view of things. Note that I do not typically comment or get involved with financial matters related to Sathya Sai movement. That had been my policy while doing my free service in Prasanthi Nilayam system from Oct. 2002 to Mar 2012, and continues to be my policy now as a free service social media writer on Sathya Sai movement, after Bhagavan's Mahasamadhi.

Muddenahalli group university is being set up in an economically backward area of Karnataka. They are offering not only free education but free boarding and lodging. They claim that they are going to give prefence to rural students (of the area). They have demonstrated that they have the money power to acquire the land, construct the buildings, hire/get the faculty etc. And then they use the name of Sathya Sai which is well recognized in Karnataka, as the Sathya Sai Loka Seva trust which they control now, has a track record of running the Muddenahalli and Alike schools for some decades in Karnataka, and Bhagavan's Brindavan ashram and Brindavan campus of (Puttaparthi) Sathya Sai university have been in Kadugodi close to Bangalore for many decades, and are very well known in Karnataka.

Which elected politican can publicly oppose such a university? I don't think any elected politician can do that. No wonder the Karnataka assembly passed the bill to set up this private university ***unanimously***. No wonder Union HRD minister Javadekar sent them a congratulatory video message.

Do these elected politicians believe the claim of Madhusudan Naidu being so called chosen communicator of so called subtle body of Sathya Sai? I doubt that most have that belief. From what I could make out of the Kannada speeches of the Karnataka former ministers and current MLA at the inauguration event, all of them were praising Sathya Sai (which gave me a lot of happiness) but they did not mention Madhusudan.

However, when given some mementoes by Madhusudan Naidu they bowed down to him, and one Zilla Parishad lady even touched either Madhusudan's feet or the ground in front of his feet. I think they have to do that given the following Muddenahalli group has built with their free educational service work in Karnataka, and also perhaps because they confuse Muddenahalli group with great name of official Sathya Sai organization.

I am so happy that I did not have to see Hon'ble Union minister Prakash Javadekar deeply bowing to Madhusudan Naidu or even touching his feet. Note that in a public event in Navi Mumbai (close to Mumbai) sometime around November last year (2017), Sachin Tendulkar did nothing of that sort to Madhusudan Naidu and instead Sachin Tendulkar patted Madhusudan on his back which clearly showed that Tendulkar did not view or worship Madhusudan Naidu as Sathya Sai. If at all Shri Prakash Javadekar finds that he has to share the stage publicly with Madhusudan Naidu, I do hope that he will follow Sachin Tendulkar's example and not worship Madhusudan Naidu as Sathya Sai.

I think my above analysis is a practical ground reality analysis when it comes to elected politicians' including ministers' interactions with Muddenahalli group leaders including Madhusudan Naidu.

But what does Muddenahalli group university mean for us Sathya Sai devotees? Well, over the coming years and decades, it means confusion on a much bigger scale about real Sathya Sai and false claim so called Muddenahalli subtle body Sathya Sai. Why is that so? Did they not have schools and colleges earlier? Why does Muddenahalli group university make a big difference?

Well, schools and colleges in India function under a lot of control from a govt. run school board of education or a govt/private university that the college is affiliated with. Examinations are conducted by the govt. board of education for schools, and by the university that the colleges are affiliated with, and the passing certificate and mark sheets are issued by the board of education/university and NOT the schools/colleges themselves. All this means that major level of control lies outside of the schools and colleges with the school board of education and university. This would have been the case for Muddenahalli group schools and colleges ***prior*** to Muddenahalli group university inauguration.

Now all this can change dramatically for the colleges of Muddenahalli group (no control level impact for schools). Once these colleges change their affiliation to Muddenahalli group university, almost the entire control will be in Muddenahalli group hands. Note that sometimes, instead of college, the term used is campus. This means that seats allocation for degrees, examinations, results, Ph.D. candidate selection, awarding Ph.D. degree etc. will largely be in Muddenahalli group hands with some small level of external examiner or external board of studies input. And then there are academic accreditation and grading bodies like NAAC and NBA but they do not really matter much from a control point of view. Lower grading means less government grant money and less attraction to students seeking high salary campus placement jobs or high profile research. I don't think that would really impact Muddenahalli group university that much.

And who will be the big bosses for all this, including selection of students for Post-Graduate degree seats, Ph.D. candidate selection, awarding Ph.D.s (provided bare minimum UGC/AICTE criteria are met) etc.? MDH university Chancellor B.N. Narasimhamurthy and Member of Board of Governors and so called communicator Madhusudan Naidu! Their power now in their educational institutions will grow (or has already grown) by orders of magnitude (ten times or more).

Now imagine rural poor students in colleges (or campuses) of MDH university who are getting free education and free boarding and lodging. What will be the pressure on them to accept the MADMAN Madhusudan Naidu's FALSE CLAIM of being the communicator of Sathya Sai? The pressure on them will be immense.

What will be the pressure on them to worship Madhusudan Rao Naidu as Sathya Sai? The pressure on them will be immense.

So now these colleges (or campuses) of Muddenahalli group university will churn out graduates, post-graduates and PhDs who having been under immense pressure to worship Madhusudan Rao Naidu as Sathya Sai, will, in all probability, do so, at least while they are under the control of Muddenahalli group university or its alumni network.

Will this add to confusion in Sathya Sai devotee fraternity and bring about more disunity and division? I think it will certainly do that.

And then now when we say Sathya Sai university, we will have to clarify whether we mean Puttaparthi/Prasanthi Nilayam Sathya Sai university OR Gulbarga, Karnataka Muddenahalli Group Sathya Sai university.

Such is life in these immediate post Sathya Sai Mahasamdhi years! One has to learn to grin and bear it rather than get frustrated and tear one's hair out. Jai Sai Ram!
