Very impassioned and desperate plea from Honeypreet Insaan to not believe the unproven and very nasty allegations against her

In the video in this article, http://www.ibtimes.co.in/honeypreet-may-surrender-today-speaks-first-time-since-ram-rahims-conviction-744112, Honeypreet Insaan makes a very emotional and heart-rending plea to the public to not believe the horrific allegations made against her (by her former husband mainly) about her relation with now-convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh (of Dera Sacha Sauda). She says that her relationship with him was a pure relationship (not sexual in any way) of a daughter with her father.

The article is in English but the video is in Hindi.

Initially the interview covers the topic of Honeypreet Insaan (who has a lookout notice against her issued by the police and plans to appear before the police shortly) being labelled as a traitor (desh-drohi). She says she is deeply distressed by that as she was taught to be ready to sacrifice her life for the nation. She rejects the reports that she acted against the nation.

My stand is that unproven allegations that cast a slur on Honeypreet Insaan should not have been publicized by the Indian media the way it did it. I mean, it clearly seems to have been a horrifying ordeal for this lady to have her character being maligned in this fashion (mainly by her former husband) WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE. On any sedition charge, I think that's up to a court of law in India to decide, as that's a very, very serious charge. If there is speculation in the media about it, such speculation should be based on some evidence.

I support Honeypreet Insaan's plea to the public to go by evidence and not by allegations made against her in these matters without any evidence. I wish her all the best in her quest to come out of mental depression and overcome the negative atmosphere about her that the media has created by giving wide publicity to negative reports about her (Including her former husband's allegations against her) without evidence.
