Clear condemnation of violence indulged in by Ram Rahim Singh's followers by President Kovind and PM Modi
PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after Dera protests: Violence in the name of faith won’t be tolerated, http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/after-deadly-dera-protests-pm-modi-s-mann-ki-baat-violence-in-the-name-of-faith-won-t-be-tolerated-guilty-will-be-punished/story-lus5QQbc0Ipn2ShVU2gEiM.html [Ravi: 'Mann Ki Baat' is Hindi which translates roughly to "What's in (on) my mind", and is a regular radio address by PM Modi to the nation.]
The article quotes PM Modi as saying, "everyone will have to bow before the law". "Those who take the law in their hands or take to violence will not be spared, whoever they are". "India is the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Buddha. Violence is not acceptable in the nation, in any form".
This was what PM Modi said on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/narendramodi/posts/10159309690370165, on the day of the violence, 25th Aug. 2017:
The instances of violence today are deeply distressing. I strongly condemn the violence & urge everyone to maintain peace.
The law & order situation is being closely monitored. I reviewed the situation with the NSA & Home Secretary.
Urged officials to work round the clock to restore normalcy and provide all possible assistance that is required.

This was what President Ram Nath Kovind said on Twitter, https://twitter.com/rashtrapatibhvn/status/901075721522565121, on the same day, "Violence and damage to public property after court verdict is highly condemnable; appeal to all citizens to maintain peace #PresidentKovind".
It is very good to see such clear condemnation of Guru Ram Rahim Singh's followers who indulged in violence, from the top leadership of the country. While both the PM and President did not mention Ram Rahim Singh by name in their words given above, I think it is clear from the context that they are referring to his followers.
Ravi: Faith in a Guru does not give any Indian a right to indulge in violence if a court of law in India delivers a verdict against the Guru. Violence in the name of faith MUST NOT BE TOLERATED in India.
