Almost impenetrable mystery of ever-present, unchanging and indestructible awareness (Atma), I believe, holds secrets of existence; Space Odyssey Monoliths

This post captures some recent spiritual contemplation of mine. In this post, by 'contemplation' I mean: considering (thinking about) something thoughtfully for some time.

The ever-present, unchanging and indestructible awareness (awareness-I/Atma) is a great mystery of (my) life, perhaps the greatest mystery of my life. It seems to me to be almost impenetrable. Note that ever-present and unchanging aspects of the awareness/Atma are direct experience for me but the indestructible aspect is a deeply held belief backed by strong intuition.

Recently it struck me that the awareness/Atma can be considered partly to be like the mysterious Monoliths in Arthur Clarke's Space Odyssey 2001. Almost impenetrable! Monolith replica pic , Monolith wiki page , Video clip of the Moon Monolith in the movie (3 min. 47 secs.).

I believe and feel (through intuition) that if I am able to uncover or dissolve into or penetrate the awareness/Atma then I may have a clear pathway to go beyond my body consciousness which has been my big desire in the past few years. Perhaps then some other big secrets of my life will also get uncovered, like my past births, my Karma and how my Karma is impacting my life now and how it will impact it in future.

I also think that may be the case for all humans though it may be believed in, only by people of faiths like Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

I also believe that, over the ages, at least some persons have been able to penetrate this 'almost impenetrable' Atma (awareness-I) and thereby uncover some secrets of their existence and, in some cases, that of some others too.

In my case, in some chanting-meditation (japa-dhyaana) sessions, I have only been able to go into a slightly 'deeper zone' of my awareness-I/Atma where I have felt a profound peace and which, at times, is accompanied by small short sensation of something going up from the base of my spine/pit of my abdomen to my head. (Is that Kundalini rising? I don't know).

I am convinced that the awareness-I/Atma, even if it is very difficult to penetrate, can be penetrated/uncovered by some persons. Whether I will be able to do it or not - I don't know. So far, I have not had any significant success in that.

Once again, I think it has some parallel to the almost impenetrable Space Odyssey Monoliths in that they do get understood (penetrated) later on, if I got that correctly. Related short extracts from its wiki page:
