It is tragic that so much bitterness has been created in Maharashtra Sathya Sai orgn. I think the core issue at hand is lack of transparency and accountability in such big changes like removal of a long standing and many decades long committed devotee of Bhagavan like Ramesh Sawant sir, from the state president post.
As far as I know, there has been no public clarification from Mr. Nimish Pandya on this matter. This is typical dictatorial approach. When Bhagavan was in physical form, Bhagavan had divine insight and so I gather that such matters would be left to Bhagavan to decide and everybody had to accept Bhagavan's decision as final.
But now the top administrators of Indian Sathya Sai orgn. do not have divine insight. So they have to adopt some level of accountability and transparency in their big decisions.
Silence from Mr. Nimish Pandya indicates that he does not consider himself accountable to Sathya Sai devotees at large or to former and long-time state president Ramesh Sawant sir. That is a very worrying thing for the future of Indian Sathya Sai orgn, in my considered opinion.
Power craze and dictatorial behaviour by top administrators is one of the most destructive things for a spiritual organization.
I should add that I am not saying that Ramesh Sawant sir should continue to be state president of Maharashtra. That is something that Maharashtra Sathya Sai devotee community in consultation with Prasanthi Nilayam top administrators should arrive at in a transparent manner with Ramesh Sawant sir being involved in the process. If they feel a change is necessary, they should give Ramesh Sawant sir a chance to articulate his views. This way, even if there may be some unpleasantness, there is transparency about the process.
No person can hold on to a position indefinitely. At appropriate time, either persons step down or changes may have to be made. Sometimes such changes will create pushback. But if the process has some transparency, suspicions of palace-intrigue type conspiracy do not arise.
Now, to be brutally honest, some person(s) are wondering whether Mr. Nimish Pandya's decision to forcibly remove Ramesh Sawant sir from state president position, is influenced by somebody from Muddenahalli group, as Mr. Nimish Pandya has NOT said one word publicly against Muddenahalli group, and seems to have met Madhusudan Naidu in Mr. Indulal Shah's house in 2014 or 2015.
I am very sad to see Maharashtra Sathya Sai orgn. which I was a member of for almost a decade, from around 1993 to 2002, get into such a sad situation.
