The next day morning Sage Viswamitra tells Rama that he is highly pleased with him (for killing Tataka) and that he will now endow Rama with a great variety of divine missiles which can be used to defeat all kinds of beings including divine beings (devas), demons (asuras), gandharvas, urugas and humans. Ref: 1-27-1 to 1-27-4a
The next verses have Viswamitra detailing the variety of powerful divine missiles and weapons that he will be giving to Rama.
Then Viswamitra chanted the sacred hymns associated with these divine missiles and other weapons, dedicating those sacred hymns to Rama. Ref: 1-27-22 and 23.
All these divine missiles and other weapons appeared before Rama and said to him that they were there to accomplish whatever task he gives them. Ref: 1-27-24 to 26a.
With a pleased heart, Rama patted them with his palm. He told them to come to his presence whenever he calls them, and then sent them off. Ref: 1-27-26b and 27.
Resplendent Rama with a thankful heart to Sage Viswamitra, readied himself for further journey. Ref: 1-27-28

Rama later requests Viswamitra to give him the annulment missiles too. Ref: 1-28-2 [Ravi: I did not understand exactly what these annulment missiles do. Perhaps they annul some other missile (of a particular type?) that is attacking a warrior.]
Viswamitra imparts many such divine annulment missiles to Rama. These divine annulment missiles appear before Rama saying that they are ready to obey his command. Rama asks them to come whenever he needs them, and sends them back. Ref: 1-28-3 to 1-28-15
Ravi: That completes the important episode of Ramayana dealing with Lord Rama killing Tataka demoness, with some introduction as well as description of joy of divine beings (devas) and Sage Viswamitra at Tataka being killed, leading to divine missiles and other weapons being endowed on young 16-year-old warrior-lad Lord Rama by Sage Viswamitra.
