Both Shirdi Sai Baba and Sathya Sai Baba, at physical form level, were based in Deccan Plateau

This aspect had not struck me earlier. As I was reading and viewing up on Deccan Plateau, I realized that both Shirdi and Puttaparthi are on the Deccan Plateau.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deccan_Plateau : "The large Deccan Plateau in southern India is located between the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats, and is loosely defined as the peninsular region between these ranges that is south of the Narmada river. To the north, it is bounded by the Satpura and Vindhya Ranges."

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/98/Map_of_the_Cities_and_Towns_in_the_Deccan_Plateau%2C_India.png is a great map of cities and towns in the Deccan Plateau. A slightly modified version of it is shown below where I have marked Shirdi with a pink left arrow and I have marked roughly the area where Puttaparthi should be (as it is not labelled in the map) with a pink right arrow. I have also used jpg format to reduce the file size.

In the above map, the light & dark green and light & dark brown areas are 600 to 2000 metres above sea level. The light & dark blue areas are coastal plains at 0 to 20 metres above sea level.

The map below which is cropped from a large Google Map picture, shows that Puttaparthi is within the four sided figure (quadrilateral I think is the right geometry term) made by the four labelled cities of previous map: Penukonda, Kadiri, Mudigubba and Dharmavaram. I used this map to roughly mark the location of Puttaparthi in above map.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirdi informs us that Shirdi is at an elevation of 504 metres above sea level whereas Puttaparthi, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puttaparthi , is at an elevation of 475 metres above sea level. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deccan_Plateau informs us that the Deccan Plateau elevation "ranges between 100 and 1,000 metres (330 and 3,280 ft), with an average elevation of about 600 metres (2,000 ft)." It also says, "The plateau is drier than the coastal region of India." and is "A rocky terrain marked by boulders ...".

Hmm. Quite interesting, IMHO! Both Shirdi Sai Baba and Sathya Sai Baba were, at physical body level, Deccan Plateau avatars! Perhaps even the future Prema Sai Baba avatar will be based in the Deccan Plateau! Fascinating!

[I thank Wikipedia and Google Maps, and have presumed that they will not have any objections to me sharing the above extract(s)/maps from their website on this post which is freely viewable by all, and does not have any financial profit motive whatsoever.]
