Sai social media activists expose some "not-Sai" fundraising events in future Colorado, USA MDH event resulting in webpage removing them

A lot of this activity happened on this Facebook post of Sri Ravi Raj Salyankar, https://www.facebook.com/ravirajsalyankar/posts/10154432420213721, dated February 8th 2017. The post refers to the webpage of a June 2017 Madhusudan Rao Naidu (so called 'subtle Swami') event planned in Colorado, USA by a group that seems to be associated with Muddenahalli group and Madhusudan Rao Naidu. The post is very critical of some freebie offers on that webpage, and an auctions event announced on it.

A lot of comment exchanges were made on this post, related to this matter. For readers who want to know the entire discussions I suggest they visit the above mentioned Facebook post.

I have given below mainly my comments made on this post, along with some related comments by others. I put up  this post more from a point of view of record-keeping of my involvement in this matter, but also felt that the post may be of interest to some of my readers who have not read Sri Salyankar's post. Note that some short comments have been combined into one comment below, and further note that some of the comments have been slightly edited.

I noted from the website that the so called subtle form event is free for participants.

But on the same page it talks of other "fundraising events"!!

Yes, I read the message, "The proceeds from fundraising events will be used to cover the expenses incurred by Living Light Events to put on a program in Colorado for the world renowned Spiritual Teacher; Sathya Sai Baba in His Subtle Form. Neither Baba nor the volunteers that travel with Him receive any payments of any kind and Living Light Events is not part of any formal Sathya Sai Baba Organization", on the website.

But the point is that Sathya Sai's name is getting associated with an appearance supposedly of his, in a subtle form (which I view as a FALSE BELIEF), at an event which itself might be free, but which has associated fundraising events! That brings Sathya Sai's name to the level of an ordinary pastor who needs to have fundraising events to support his and his team's visit to a place!!!

I simply cannot imagine the real Sathya Sai ever associating with such fundraising events. Yes, patrons are needed. And even physical form Sathya Sai had patrons with the Raja of Venkatagiri being one of the famous patrons of the young Sathya Sai. But even in the initial stages of Bhagavan's mission, I don't think I have ever read of tickets being sold for associated events (even if not the main event) to cover expenses of Swami (and team's) visit!!!

I was telling a student-staff of Prasanthi Nilayam ashram a little while back today evening, that Bhagavan would stick to his principles, like Rama sticking to his Ekapatni vratah (one wife vow at a time when it was common for kings to have multiple wives, and was the case with Rama's father Dasaratha). That was one of the aspects of Bhagavan for which I had GREAT RESPECT for him. Donors with big fat cheques could not buy Swami's grace! As I understand it, Swami looked for devotion and sincere prayer even with donors who were ready to offer big money, before Swami would allow them to donate funds for Swami's mission.

The real Sathya Sai would be utterly scornful of any such tickets being sold for associate events to meet expenses of his and his team's visit to a place.

But there we are! Madhusudan Rao Naidu, Sai university alumnus, is freely going all around the world, including the USA, doing his so-called communicator act, with USA websites openly claiming Madhusudan Rao Naidu's words to be the words of Sathya Sai. And we have to helplessly watch all this tamasha and wring our hands in despair! Oh Lord! What a pathetic state of affairs!

Sorry if my words are pessimistic.

There have been bigger and more famous patrons than the raja of venkatgiri and there were people from all walks of life who just flocked to experience him. It was always swami who is giving and we are receiving.

Chaita Chelikani wrote:
I have heard stories of my great grandfather waiting along with others just to meet swami. And swamis response was " raja ayithey kommulu untaya" meaning does raja have horns. That is our swami.

Ravi S. Iyer wrote:
Thanks Chaita Chelikani for your gracious comments. For those who do not know, her great grandfather mentioned in Chaita's comment above is the Raja of Venkatagiri.

[Given below are inner level comments to first comment of Ravi Raj Salyankar tagging some Sai social media activists including me]

Ravi S. Iyer wrote (the church referenced below is the venue of the event in Colorado as per the webpage; the earlier meeting in California referred to was sometime in 2016, if I recall correctly):
Oh! No harm at all in contacting the church and voicing the issues. But I recall that when something similar was done for an earlier meeting in California, the venue/orgn. where the meeting was held politely declined to do anything about the objections raised.

Ravi Raj Salyankar, I don't think you were part of the group following an earlier visit of Madhu Naidu & co. to USA, where we had similar discussions. My learning from those interactions was that USA's freedom of religion laws are very strong. So one can write protest letters and even have protest meetings but if the orgn. hosting them want to host them despite protests, nothing can be done.

But the legal path can have results.

Essentially Madhu Naidu has to be challenged on his claim of being a so called communicator of Sathya Sai in a USA court of law.

If the court of law finds that Madhu cannot make such a claim as what Madhu is doing is quite different from what Sathya Sai did, and accepts objections posed by plaintiffs in such a legal complaint, the court may stop Madhu from doing such medium stuff in the name of Sathya Sai in the state where the court has jurisdiction (don't know if it will apply to whole of USA).

But there is also a possibility that the court may reject such objections and hold that Madhu's claims of being medium of Sathya Sai fall within permissible area under freedom of religion laws of USA.

So it could go either way. In any case, filing such a legal challenge in USA to Madhu's claim may be an expensive affair. That itself may be a difficult challenge to overcome for such efforts.

Ravi S. Iyer Right now my intentions is to awaken the devotees of the countries they visit with their agenda & undharmic propaganda .. i believe our sincere efforts are being blessed .. firstly with the alike institution .. & now with this massage carnival in denver colarado usa .. we really do not have to go legal anywhere .. we just share the truth with devotees & let them discard their own blinkers --snip--

I think you and others are doing good work Ravi Raj Salyankar, in this effort to spread awareness among devotees about the misdeeds of MDH group. I certainly have no objections whatsoever to that. It surely will have some impact. ... But I also wanted to share my views about the legal thing. I think it is high time somebody in the USA who is rich and powerful, initiates a legal challenge. The intent of me mentioning these things is to keep that option alive at least in our social media discussions. Perhaps that might take fruit sometime.

Terry Reis Kennedy wrote (the California event venues, a church and a temple, mentioned below by Terry refer to an earlier visit of Madhusudan Naidu sometime in 2016, if I recall correctly):
Dear Ravi S. Iyer and Ravi Raj Salyankar The reason that they would not cancel in Encinitas, California was because they had been paid the FULL amount in advance. It was a spiritual center and the "Reverend" said he would never let them use his spiritual center venue again, but he could not, in his personal opinion, give the money back. At least he refused to ever host them again. And the otherMDH scammers' venue on that same trip was a Hindu Temple and the people we e-mailed and called on the phone believed that the Light Body False Belief was a TRUE PHENOMENON and they were unwilling to stop the show. They too had been paid in advance.

Ravi S. Iyer wrote:
Terry Reis Kennedy, I think I had forgotten these details. Thanks for reminding us. So even if the mails to them then did not stop the event, it at least alerted the church and Hindu Temple management that the medium stuff was something many of us view as FALSE BELIEF or worse.

So then we should do the same this time around by writing to the venue management. It might have some effect.

Thanks to you, Ravi Raj Salyankar and others like Shubha Ramesh Kumar and Terry Reis Kennedy for taking the initiative in this regard, and achieving results in terms of limiting the damage to the HOLY NAME of our beloved Lord, Kali Yuga Avatar, Shiva-Shakti Swarupa, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, that the MDH group planned Colorado, USA event may do.
