Protest letter to California Arts center hosting Madhusudan Naidu impersonation event on June 24 2017

To: The Managers of Segerstrom Center for the Arts, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, USA

Dear sir/madam,

I write from Puttaparthi, India and am an Indian citizen. I have had the privilege and pleasure of being in your wonderful country, USA, for totally around two years in the second half of the 1980s and early 1990s. I have even spent a couple of months in your wonderful state of California then living in Goleta suburb near Santa Barbara.

I have great affection and regard for the people of the USA.

This letter is about the program you are hosting on Saturday, 24th June this year (2017) as per http://www.itowetohe.com/costa-mesa-satsang.html, where a Mr. Madhusudan Rao Naidu, an Indian based in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, India, would do an impersonation performance of my beloved and revered Guru, the Late Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, India. Sri Sathya Sai Baba gave up his mortal body (died) in April 2011 in Puttaparthi, India.

In this impersonation performance (it could be considered to be an art form, I guess) Madhusudan Rao Naidu will claim that he is seeing, speaking to and listening to an invisible and inaudible to everybody else (for all practical purposes) supposed 'subtle body' of Sri Sathya Sai Baba seated on a regal chair on stage.

As an impersonation performance I guess it could be in the class of impersonation of the pop music superstars, the Late Elvis Presley or even the somewhat recently deceased Michael Jackson.

However, the big problem that I and many other followers/devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a spiritual master known worldwide, have is that Madhusudan Rao Naidu and his promoters, Sri B.N. Narasimhamurthy and others, who would also, in all probability, be on stage with Madhusudan Naidu, at this event in your center on 24th June, do not state that it is an impersonation!!! They claim it is real!!!

Imagine an Elvis Presley impersonator or a Michael Jackson impersonator performing at your center but claiming to be the real Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson!!! Would that not be an outrageous attempt to fool and mislead patrons who visit your center? Would you like to be part of such a charade? Surely not, I think.

Given the above, I earnestly request you to instruct the organizers of the above mentioned 24th June event at your center to clearly advertise on stage and elsewhere that the event is an IMPERSONATION of Sri Sathya Sai Baba by impersonator-performer Madhusudan Rao Naidu. That would ensure that your center would have ensured that its patrons have been provided the information that the event is an impersonation event. But if the organizers of the event fail to agree to advertise it as an impersonation event, I think to safeguard the patrons of your center from being misled and fooled by Madhusudan Rao Naidu, you should seriously consider cancelling the event.

Thanks and Regards
