Tragic! I think the biggest tragedy in religious institutions in our times is that some of the persons associated with them, are not able to stick to their vows, and perhaps find themselves trapped in the religious institution. And then they secretly break their vows, leading to tremendous embarrassment to the entire religious institution, when they get exposed.

I think nobody should get trapped in such vows of sexual abstinence and poverty for the rest of their lives, in our times. I mean, it is very difficult to fulfill these vows in our early 21st century times, with its ***great**** temptations. This is Kali Yuga on overdrive! Far better to follow spiritual paths with easy escape options for those who want money & sex, rather than get trapped ***for life*** into forced sexual abstinence and forced poverty. I mean, the brutal truth in our sensory indulgence times is that many inmates of religious/spiritual institutions who are trapped into vows of sexual abstinence and poverty, become like prisoners, or shall I say, slaves! Sorry, if my words hurt some readers.

My prayers to God to help any person who is trapped into vows of sexual abstinence and poverty in religious institutions, but wants to get out of it, to get out of such **prisons** safely, and lead a law-abiding life in regular society after giving up the vows of sexual abstinence and poverty.

Of course, any religious person who voluntarily wants to keep the vows of sexual abstinence and poverty, is very free to do so. I have great respect for such religious persons who do it out of their ***own free will***, and NOT out of any compulsion put on them by others around them or the institution they are associated with.
