The ISBN for my ebook got allotted quite fast. The first stage process was submitted on 2nd May and went through next day 3rd May. I submitted the 2nd stage request on 3rd May late night. 4th and 5th were Sat. & Sun. Today 8th May, I got the ISBN (2nd stage got completed).

There are no charges for ISBN. Any Indian citizen who provides required identification details (includes PAN details) can request for ISBN for his/her book! That's a pretty nice feature provided by Indian govt.
