Sri Sathya Sai district inauguration function and additional info.

As scheduled, Sri Sathya Sai district was inaugurated/formed today, 4th April 2022.

The top officers for the district which are the collector, the SP (Superintendent of Police) and the joint collector, are listed here in the official Andhra Pradesh government website: https://srisathyasai.ap.gov.in/about-district/whoswho/ . It was interesting for me to see the first part of the official email id of the collector of this district being "collector-sssai". So sssai seems to be the short form for Sri Sathya Sai district!

As per https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/andhra-pradesh/andhra-pradesh-jubilation-in-puttaparthi-hindupur-sees-protests/article65287355.ece , Sri Sathya Sai district has geographical area of 8925.65 square km and a population of 18.41 lakh (or 1.841 million).

I earnestly pray to Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for happiness and prosperity of all the people of the newly formed Sri Sathya Sai district. Jai Sai Ram!
